Eldorado TradeShield, explained
TradeShield decides when buyers can dispute and when sellers get paid. Knowing its timeline tells you exactly when an order is really finished.

What TradeShield does
TradeShield is Eldorado's escrow. When a buyer pays, Eldorado holds the payment instead of passing it straight to the seller. It's released only when the order completes. If something goes wrong in the meantime, either side can rely on TradeShield's dispute process.
The order timeline
- Delivered. The seller hands over the item or account and marks the order delivered.
- 3-day check. The buyer has 3 days to confirm it matches the listing. If they do nothing, the order is marked Received automatically.
- Protection period. After Received, the order stays protected for a set time that depends on the category (table below).
- Completed. Protection ends, the order completes and the payment moves to the seller's balance.
So for a typical account sale, the money reaches the seller's balance up to 3 + 5 days after delivery. From there, see our fees and withdrawals guide.
Protection period by category
| Category | Protected after Received |
|---|---|
| Accounts (instant and non-instant) | 5 days |
| GTA 5 accounts | 14 days |
| Fortnite accounts | 10 days |
| Rainbow Six Siege accounts | 10 days |
| CS2 custom items | 10 days |
| Roblox limiteds (custom items) | 14 days |
| Roblox (Robux) currency | 7 days |
| Gift cards | 4 days |
| Other categories | 5 days |
| Automated delivery offers | 3 days, or until marked Received |
How disputes work
A buyer raises a dispute from the order page. If the button isn't showing, Eldorado's support assistant can check whether the order is still covered.
For sellers, Eldorado's rules set response deadlines:
- 12 hours to respond with proof or a solution for accounts, boosting, gift cards and top-ups.
- 2 hours to provide proof of delivery for currency and items.
Missing these, or having no proof, can make the buyer eligible for a full refund. Keeping all communication in Eldorado chat is what gives you that proof.
What it means if you buy accounts
Use the protection window to check everything: log in, change the password and email, and confirm the account matches the listing. Problems reported inside the window are the ones TradeShield can fix. Our guide to buying accounts safely has a full checklist.
Quick answers
What is Eldorado TradeShield?
TradeShield is Eldorado's escrow and dispute system. Eldorado holds the buyer's payment until the order is completed, and handles disputes for both buyers and sellers.
How long does TradeShield hold payment?
After delivery the buyer has 3 days to check the order. Once it's marked Received, most orders stay protected for 5 more days; some categories, such as GTA 5 and Fortnite accounts, are protected for 10 to 14 days. The seller is paid when the order completes.
How fast do sellers have to answer a dispute?
Eldorado's seller rules give 12 hours to respond with proof or a solution for accounts, boosting, gift cards and top-ups, and 2 hours to provide proof of delivery for currency and items.
Are boosting custom requests protected?
Only for account progression. Eldorado says custom requests can't be used to buy accounts, items or currency, and orders placed that way aren't covered by buyer protection.
